David Adkins and crew made history at Norwalk on Thursday with the first ever 5 second quarter mile pass with a LS power plant. Also this marks only the 2nd pass ever on a radial tire period! With a short window on Thursday with radial prep and the OK from track officials to run on the quarter mile clocks they went for it. On the first attempt the Camaro laid down a 6.03@243mph, at this point everyone knew the goal was going be reality soon. With a few adjustments made the next pass was history with a 5.97@243mph.

After the record passes in the Camaro it was on to race Radial vs the World for the weekend. Cruzing through the rounds the trusty old Impala won the 10k!!

Both cars are powered by identical Baker Engineering engines with Baker Engineering billet heads!
