After 22 years of private ownership, Baker Engineering has entered into a new corporate chapter. The company was recently acquired by Waséyabek Development Company, LLC. (WDC). Rest assured, the change in ownership will not bring significant change to the way we do business. The company name will not change, the faces will not change, and the type of business we conduct will not change. Jack Jerovsek will continue as President, leading the day-to-day operations. TJ Grimes will continue to serve our high performance engine customers. The exciting strategic acquisition is expected to turbocharge opportunities for both Baker Engineering and WDC. WDC will contribute new resources, experience and energy to our growing business.
WDC is a tribally-owned holding company that manages the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Patawatomi’s non-gaming economic development activities. The company is dedicated to developing a stable, diversified economy for members of the Band and to provide revenue and diverse employment opportunities for Tribal Members. Their acquisition strategy includes businesses operating in both the commercial and federal sectors. More importantly, WDC’s acquisition team includes a long-time customer of Baker Engineering, someone we have come to know and trust over the past 20 years.
Baker Engineering LLC. will continue to serve our corporate and individual customers with the same commitment to high tech, high quality, products and services, and to staying on the leading edge of engine technologies. Please join us in welcoming WDC to the team.
